Senior Murex Analyst

Job description

As a senior Murex analyst, you will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the implementation and to the optimization of the Murex platform. You will be the link between business users and technical teams.

Your main role will be to collect and document functional needs, analyze financial processes, to configure the Murex solution according to user requirements, and to support the client in the validation, deployment and post-production support phases.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the collection and analysis of the needs of Front, Middle and Back Office users.
• Ensure the configuration and parameterization of Murex modules
• Draft functional and technical specifications to meet business needs.
• Validate the changes and perform functional and integrated tests.
• Support users during acceptance and production tests.
• Contribute to the documentation, training and change management.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years experience.
• Experience of 5 years with Murex or other equivalent software.
• Confirmed 5-year experience in the portfolio management or brokerage industry.
• Strong knowledge of Murex version 3.1 and knowledge of the Front-Office, Back-Office, and accounting, transactions and their life cycle, regulations and market parameters.
• Knowledge of workflows.
• Proficiency in SQL, Unix/Linux, XML, XSLT/XPath, Shell Script is an asset.
• Understanding financial products: derivatives, cash, transaction life cycle,
  settlement/delivery.
• Strong analytical skills, communication skills and customer orientation.
• Professional proficiency in French and English.
