We are looking for a Product Owner whose primary role will be to define and prioritize business needs, manage the product backlog, and collaborate closely with teams to deliver high-value solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Job description
As a Databricks Product Owner, you will work within a multidisciplinary project team while acting as the link between the client’s business needs and the techno-functional teams.
Your main tasks will be to collect and document the client’s functional specifications, analyze business processes, configure the solution, and support the client during the acceptance, deployment, and post-integration support phases.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision and strategic roadmap for the Databricks platform, in alignment with the organization’s data strategy.
- Establish the Databricks platform as a robust, scalable, and secure foundation, enabling business units to develop, deploy, and operate their data products autonomously, according to common and governed standards.
- Design the platform using a self-service approach, providing capabilities, patterns, and tools that accelerate adoption while reducing operational dependencies on central teams.
- Prioritize the platform’s technological capabilities based on business objectives, technical constraints, security, compliance, and the level of autonomy targeted for data consumers.
- Work closely with PDM Product Owners to ensure cross-product consistency and smooth integration within the Data Platform ecosystem.
- Actively contribute to the definition and evolution of governance, security, access management, and compliance practices, balancing control and autonomy.
- Maintain continuous technological monitoring of Databricks, cloud data platforms, platform engineering practices, and operational models promoting business team autonomy.
Qualifications
- A minimum of eight years of experience as an IT product manager or Senior Product Owner, ideally in a data platform, analytics, or cloud context.
- Please note that other relevant combinations of training and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in communication, technical communication, and influence leadership in complex environments.
- Knowledge of French required.
- Expertise in governance, security, and compliance, including supervised autonomy models.
- Proficiency in the Databricks platform, cloud environments (Azure), and modern data platforms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles, continuous development, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices applied to platforms.
